Disposal methods:

• Properly-designed and managed Landfills that are designed with a gas extraction system that is used to capture and burn off all greenhouse gas so the environment is protected.
• Incineration or "thermal treatment" convert waste materials into heat, gas, steam, and ash.  All biological medical waste is disposed of by incineration.

Recycling methods:

• Biological reprocessing recycling method is used for waste materials that are organic in nature, such as paper products, plant material, and food scraps that can be recycled by decomposition then sold as mulch or compost for agricultural and landscaping purposes.  Waste gas can also be captured from the decomposition process and used to generate electricty.
• Energy Recovery recycling method harnesses the energy content of waste products by using them as a direct combustion fuel or by processing them into an entirely different type of fuel.
• Physical recycling includes aluminum, steel, plastic, glass, and paper and is the most commonly known method of recycling.
